Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie
Our guide will pick you up at the airport, drive you to the hotel. Free until next day.
Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the lobby of your hotel. Be transferred and visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Huangshi Fort. (B, L)
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Located in the northwest of Wulingyuan, it is in the neighborhood of Suoxiyu Valley and Tianzi Mountain. It has an area of 72,000 acres, an average rainfall of 1200-1600mm, an average temperature of 16oC and a frost-free period of 240-300 days.
Huangshi Fort named after a hermit Huangshi, is 1080m above sea level. It is higher on the south and elevated by stiff cliffs, covering an area of 16.5 hectors. It provides the largest collection of marvelous spectacles and also provides the larges sightseeing terrace above sea level in Zhangjiajie.
Day 3: Tianzi Mountain
After having breakfast, you will visit Jinbian Stream in the morning, then visit Tianzi Mountain and Suoxiyu Valley.
Tianzi Mountain named after Xiang Dakun who led the local farmers' revolt and called himself Tianzi---the Son of Heaven. Bounded by Suoxi Valley on the east, Zhangjiajie on the south, Sangzhi County on the north, Tianzi Mountain is one of the four scenic zones in Wulingyuan.
Suoxiyu Valley: the center of Wulingyuan scenic zone. It covers an area of more than 180 square kilometers and is the largest of the three zones. Landform here is the same as Zhangjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, mainly making up of sandstone peaks.
Day 4: Fenghuang Ancient Town
In the morning, you will be driven to Fenghuang Ancient Town,visit
Famous spots in the town. Take a boat cruise in the beautiful Tuo River, appreciate the unique architecture of local people, taste the culture of Miao minority people.
Fenghunag Ancient Town(AncientPhoenix Town) is a town out of time. Hemmed in by rolling mountains and watered by a smoothly flowing river, flagstone streets, rows of traditional wooden houses built on stilts, towers, bridges everywhere, small boats rowed down the river, that's a portrait of Fenghuang. It's an authentic ancient town not too touristy.
Day 5: See off
Free explore the Fenghuang Ancient Town in the morning, and then be driven to Zhangjiajie City. Visit Tujia Folk Park and Junsheng Sandstone Painting Gallery, appreciate the unique art of sandstone painting. You will be driven to the airport or train station for your next destination.
Tujia Fork Custom Park: With an area of over 5 hectares, Tujia Folk Custom Park is a large-scale cultural tourist attraction, which is mainly built to demonstrate Tujia people's folk custom in various aspects such as architecture, food, agriculture, military art etc.
