China Tour with Bifengxia Panda Volunteer Program 01

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon your arrival, you will be met by the local guide and driver at the Beijing International Airport. Be driven to the downtown Beijing and check in the four stars hotel. Free explore Beijing in the rest time.
Accommodation: Guangxi Hotel
Day 2: Beijing
After breakfast, we will drive you to the famous Badaling Great Wall. After hiking the Great Wall, you will visit Beijing Olympic Venue: China National Stadium (Bird's Nest) and China National Aquatics Center (Water Cubic).
Scenery Spots: Great Wall of China, Bird's Nest Stadium, Water Cubic Aquatics Center
Accommodation: Guangxi Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 3: Beijing
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel; visit the Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City. After lunch, you will visit the Temple of Heaven.
Scenery Spots: Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace
Accommodation: Guangxi Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 4: Beijing-Chengdu
Free in the morning until you will be driven to train station for Chengdu.
Transportation: Beijing to Chengdu, Train No: TBA
Meals: Breakfast
Day 5: Arrival in Chengdu
You will be met by your English-speaking guide at the Chengdu train station. Check in your hotel.
Accommodation: Chengdu Hotel
Meals: Dinner
Day 6: Bifengxia Panda Base Volunteering
You will be driven to the Bifengxia Panda Base which is 150 kilometers from Chengdu.
After check in to the Bifengxia Xiaoxitian Hostel,you will walk to Panda Base for registering for your volunteering work.

Day 7-Day 8: Bifengxia Panda Base Volunteering
Volunteering work starts. You will receive a training on how to care for pandas and the guidelines for working with them.
Following a short training, volunteer service might include:
Assistant to the panda keepers:
- Cleaning panda areas and enclosures
- Preparing food for the pandas such as carrots, apples, panda bread and their nutritional biscuits
- Carrying lots of bamboo
- Sometimes you might be able to help collect behavioral data
- You will also have time to watch and photograph the pandas.
Interpreter in the panda garden:
- Introduce the giant panda research, such as breeding and hand-rearing.
- Introduce the giant panda research cooperation with the USA, Japan, Austria, Thailand etc
- Introduce all the giant pandas, their different habit, behavior etc.
- Tell stories of the giant panda for the visiting Chinese and international tourists.
Day 9: Bifengxia-Chengdu
Your English speaking guide and diver will meet you at 10:00 to drive you back to Chengdu Train Station for Xian.
Accommodation: Soft sleeper cabin
Meals: Lunch
Day 10:Xi'an
Upon your arrival in Xi'an, you will be met by the local guide in Xi'an. After breakfast in the hotel, you will visit Terra Cotta Warriors and Wild Goose Pagoda.
Scenery Spots: Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses, Wild Goose Pagoda
Accommodation: Nice Hotel in Xi'an
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 11: Xi'an-Beijing
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from the hotel; visit the Shanxi History Museum , The Bell Tower and Ancient City Wall.At night, you will be driven to the train station for Beijing.
Transportation: Xi'an to Beijing, Train No: TBA
Scenery Spots: Shanxi History Museum, The Bell Tower, The Ancient City Wall
Accommodation: Overnight soft sleeper cabin
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Day 12: Beijing-Departure
Arrive in Beijing in the morning, be driven to the airport for home.
