China Train Tour 02   ( Beijing , Xian , Chongqing , Yangtze Cruise , Yichang and Shanghai— 11 Days)

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Arrive at Beijing on your own arrangement. Be met & transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Beijing
Full day trip to the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven. (B, L)

Day 3: Beijing-Xi'an
Full day trip to the Great Wall, Ming Tomb and Sacred road. Take an overnight train to Xi'an. (B, L)

Day 4: Xi'an
In the morning, you will be met & transferred to your hotel. Have a city tour to the Provincial Museum and the Ancient City Wall. (B, L)

Day 5: Xi'an
Visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, the Huaqing Hot Spring and the Wild Goose Pagoda. Take an overnight train to Xi'an. (B, L)

Day 6: Xi'an-Chongqing
In the morning, you will be met by your local guide in Chongqing, and have a city tour in Chongqing. After dinner, you will be transferred to the pier to board luxury Yangtze River cruise ship. (B, L)

Day 7: Yangtze River
In the morning, you’ll disembark at Shibaozhai, a 12 storey red wooden pagoda which rests against the rock wall, where you can also climb up the spiral staircase to the top for a panoramic view of the winding river, the village and the countryside. In the late afternoon, you have the option of visiting the temples of Baidi Town (B, L,D )

Day 8: Yangtze Three Gorges
You'll enter the world-famous Three Gorges , and enjoy a 4-hour "soft adventure" to the 37.28 miles tributary, Shennong Stream . (B, L,D )

Day 9: Yichang-Shanghai
After the shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam site you'll have a farewell lunch on board, the local guide will meet you and escort you to the train station to Shanghai for Shanghai. (B.L)

Day 10: Shanghai
Today you will visit the lovely old Yuyuan Garden, the Shanghai Museum, Jade Buddha Temple. (B.L)

Day 11: Shanghai / Departure
Free time until you are ready to the airport for your departure. (Depart from Shanghai-On your own arrangement)
Note: If you choose to stay on in Shanghai for a few extra days, or arrive a few days early in Beijing, please let us know, and we'd be happy to extend your hotel bookings, or arrange additional tours for you.
