Get in Chengdu by Train

Chengdu is the most important transport hub in southwestern China. There are trains running between Chengdu and major cities of China, such as Beijing, Xian, Kunming, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Urumchi, Shanghai, Lanzhou, and so forth. Trains running within the province are the express tourist trains of Chengdu-Guangyuan Train (connecting Chengu with ancient Shu Path Scenic Spot), Chengdu-Yibin Train (Connecting Chengdu with the southern Sichuan Scenic Spots), and Chengdu-Panzhihua Train (connecting Chengdu with the western Panzhihhua Scenic Spots).

Travel Tips:
1. Tourists can also book train tickets at the air ticket offices scattering around the city or through a travel agency. A service fee of 5-50 Yuan will be charged.
2. Sichuan is the largest migrant workers export province in China. Everything year after the Chinese New Year, huge numbers of peasants will board trains to go to the east coastal areas to work so it usually impossible to obtain a train ticket from Chengdu to the eastern areas during this time of the year.
