Get in Chengdu by air
Chengdu Shuangliu Airport is the forth-largest airport in China. There are more than 60 scheduled flights to the major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Zhangjiajie (in Hunan Province), Xian, Lanzhou, Urumchi, Lhasa, Chamdo, Xiamen, Guilin, Kunming, Haikou and so forth. The international and interregional flights include those to Hongkong and Bangkok. The flights within Sichuan Province are Chengdu-Dazhou, Chengdu-Xichang flights.
Shuangliu International Airport is 20 km from the city center. Every 15 minutes, a shuttle bus leaves from the front of the Civil Aviation Building (at the Southern Renmin Road) for the airport; ticket: 8-10 Yuan, time: 35 minutes. The bus does not stop on the way. Tourists who will go to the Western bus station or railway station may ask to get off Tiaoshanta and then take No, 34 bus to get to the Western Bus Station or to the Northern Railway Station. Those who will go to the Xinnanmen Bus Station can get off at Minshan Hotel and walk along the Minjiang Road to the bus station.
