Y:In Chinese, the date is pronounced by combining the numbers 1 to 31 with "hao", which is the spoken form, or "ri" the written form. For example you could say "si yue er shi qi hao" April the 27 . The pronunciation of "hao" is similar to that of "hao" in the sentence "Wo hen hao".The difference lies in the tone."hao" is the fourth tone; and "hao" is the third tone.
