The first of its kind in Tibet, the Lhoka Prefecture History Museum is a showcase of cultural treasures of different periods. It contains pottery ware, stone and metal tools, stone tablets, stone carvings, seals, documents and pattra-leaf scriptures, which shed precious light upon the emergence and development of the Tibetans in the Lhoka region. Local history, culture, folkllore and landscape are also in full display in this museum.
The Hot Spring in Oiga Write a Review
In a small pastureland in the Oiga Town there are seven hot springs. The spring water is effective for treating the stomach and eye diseases and welcomed by local people. Of these hot springs, the Choluka Hot Spring is exclusive for the Dalai Lamas of various historical stages. The hot springs in Oiga boast beautiful sceneries and a unique local floklore. In the spring and summer, flocks of people come here for bathing.
